This hurts... God it hurts... I’ve known Chad since I was 19 years old...⁣💔

We first met while I was in college at @nyutisch. He had graduated @howard1867 a few years before, and even in his early 20’s, he was always SO passionate, SO sincere. He had found work as a teaching artist back then, and would write incredible plays and scripts, and produce them in small theaters Off-Broadway with the #HipHopTheatreFestival. His goal never seemed to be riches or #Fame.. he just loved the craft of the arts, and was absolutely devoted to it. ⁣

I remember the emails he’d send me when he’d be appearing on #LincolnHeights back in the day, and we thought that alone was so exciting! So when he really “blew up,” and became a #leadingman in #Hollywood, my heart was just bursting.. I was just so EXCITED to see Chad, a sweet, beautiful, humble, and genuine artist and human being, receive such high recognition on the world’s stage. ⁣

LAST NIGHT I told my husband that I wanted to CALL CHAD. I said I wanted to check up on him and see how he was doing, and let him know I’d been praying for him. We had no idea the heartbreaking news of his passing would come to us the very next day. My phone has been ringing off the hook tonight, but I am still.. in shock. ⁣

There are so many things going through my mind and heart right now. God... None of us knows how long our #legacy will be. Chad’s was 43 years. And he did SO MUCH with the time he was given.. ⁣

I love you, Chad! Thank you for being such a kind and caring soul, so full of integrity, and so genuine in your love. The world is a better place because you were here, and your impact will live on for GENERATIONS TO COME!! 🙏🏾💔 #chadwickboseman #blackpanther #wakandaFOREVER #restinpeace 🙏🏾💔
